Music

8 albums and counting, over 50 original songs, and 3 new projects in the works to come out soon! The first Joint Chiefs live official release from a show in 1989 is now available. Coming soon – a rare concert release from the band Zeke in 1990 with Rik Reider on guitar and John Basye on drums, early (’85 and ’86) rare and unreleased studio recordings with Colin Jacob called “Friend of Mine”, and an EP of new material recorded during the pandemic. Matt’s entire Skeptical Records catalog is right here on the website where you can listen to his music for free (it’s 2021 after all…) and purchase digitally from the website courtesy of ReverbNation.com. Old fashioned CDs are available by donating an amount of your choice to PayPal (mattlazarus@sbcglobal.net) or Venmo (@Matt-Lazarus-2) specifying which album you’d like. NEW RELEASE! Joint Chiefs – Live from Arcata

From 1986 to 1991, Joint Chiefs were a mainstay of the music scene in the coastal town of Arcata, home to Humboldt State University, in Northern California. In February of 1989, Joint Chiefs played a house party on 16th Street. This release is the first of the band’s live performances to be made public.
