I’ve been fortunate enough to record and release my original music for many years. There are 12 titles available in CD and streaming format.

Matt Lazarus Band – Live at The Back Room (2024) – the complete show, recorded on March 14th, 2024 at The Back Room in Berkeley.

Feathers & Stones (2023) – the latest album of original material with new songs and instrumentals as well as a songs by Colin Jacob and Neil Young.

Matt Lazarus & Colin Jacob – Early Days (2023) – rare and newly released studio recordings remastered from the original source tapes.

Zeke – The Last Rhumba (2022) – a rare concert release from the band Zeke in 1990 with Rik Reider on guitar and vocals, Matt on bass and vocals, and John Basye on drums and vocals – mixing rockabilly country surf music and psychedelic.

Joint Chiefs – Live from Arcata (2021) – taken from a live show at a house party, recorded on February 3rd, 1989.

Teal Sedan (2018) – studio album of original electric guitar instrumental compositions featuring a version of “Gaucho” by Steely Dan.

Time Doesn’t Wait (2017) – studio album of cover songs done on acoustic guitar and vocals.

Admit One (2015) – studio album of original songs recorded from March 2014 – May 2015.

Making Boats (2009) – acoustic album of original songs with vocals.

Snake Plissken Quintet – Live at Grant and Green (2008) – live performance from San Francisco recorded, mixed, and mastered by James Boblak featuring instrumental original and cover songs.

Today’s Menu (1998) – the second studio album of original material recorded in Santa Cruz, CA.

From the Mountains to the Sea (1997) – debut CD release of Matt’s original songs featuring a large cast of guest musicians.
